Hire a cycle for just Rs 2 per an hour. That’s the facility available for those commuting in Sanjay Nagar, in north Bengaluru henceforth. The cycles for rent will be available in public places such as metro stations, parks and other public places.
On Saturday, the project taken up in by BBMP in joint venture with Citizens for Sustainability, Sanjay Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association, was launched. The service will be provide last mile connectivity to many metro users.
Launching the facility, BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad and Bengaluru development minister K J George took up cycle ride. To begin with 15 locations in Sanjay Nagar and 60 cycles are available for use. The payment can be made through paytm. The service can be availed by opting for ‘Pedal’ service via Google play or Zoomcar app.
